Everybody wants to be treated like royalty, don’t they? To have the red carpet rolled out before them upon arrival (or if you’re anything like Tom Haverford from NBC’s ‘Parks and Recreation’, put some red carpet INSIDE your shoes so you feel like a VIP wherever you go) and to walk in the footsteps of the greats, including Nelson Mandela, Frank Sinatra and Elizabeth Taylor to name just three A list stars, as well as Monarchy from all around the world. Well, dream no longer.

Docked at Ocean Terminal in Edinburgh, The Royal Yacht Britannia formerly served as the royal vessel of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. Today, the Royal Yacht opens its doors to a select number for a personal private tour, allowing for a sneak peek into the lifestyles of the rich and the famous.  Operating throughout the day, The Royal Yacht Britannia can also welcome private tours on board between 8.30 and 10 o'clock in the morning, and 5.30 and 7 o'clock in the evening.

Upon arrival quayside, customers are greeted by the breathtaking sight of the Royal Yacht Britannia in all its glory, a moment sure to make its way onto Instagram feeds across the country. This is followed by the unravelling of a red carpet, welcoming pundits onboard via the Royal Brow, a doorway previously reserved for the sole use of the Queen and the Royal Family. Visitors are greeted by a personal guide, who takes guests on a fascinating journey through the Royal Yacht Britannia, delving deep into the vessel’s history, giving them a taste of life aboard the yacht and a glimpse of how the Royal Family and crew lived and worked onboard.
